Palo Alto Networks: Prisma SD-WAN: Design and Operation

Courses Overview

The Palo Alto Networks: Prisma SD-WAN: Design and Operation course is a five-day, instructor-led training that introduces participants to the next-generation Prisma SD-WAN solution. The course covers its advantages over traditional WAN and legacy SD-WAN implementations, along with how to configure, operate, and troubleshoot Prisma SD-WAN in real-world environments.
This training is designed for professionals who configure, maintain, and operate wide area networks (WANs) across data centers, branch offices, and the cloud. Participants will gain both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in deploying Prisma SD-WAN solutions for modern enterprise environments.

By completing this course, you will be able to:
  • Understand the value and capabilities of Prisma SD-WAN compared to legacy WAN solutions
  • Configure and operate Prisma SD-WAN in enterprise environments
  • Design and implement WAN deployments connecting data centers, branches, and the cloud
  • Configure Prisma SD-WAN policies and services
  • Troubleshoot and optimize Prisma SD-WAN deployments using practical tools and techniques

This course is recommended for professionals with at least one year of experience in networking and WAN operations. Participants should have knowledge of routing and switching (including BGP), familiarity with DNS, DHCP, and IP management tools, as well as experience with network monitoring platforms such as LiveAction, Netscout, or Splunk. An understanding of scripting and APIs for network automation is also beneficial.

  • Network Engineers
  • Network Administrators
  • Network Security Engineers
  • Network Architects
  • NOC Administrators

Through lectures and lab exercises, you will gain the skills to design, configure, and manage a Prisma SD-WAN solution. Hands-on labs include setting up Prisma SD-WAN across a branch and data center, applying policies, and using built-in SD-WAN services for improved connectivity and performance.
