Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has introduced a new system for VAT information to be submitted through TIMS Compliant devices. These devices will convey the tax related information to KRA systems on a live basis.

Some of the benefits of the new ETR machines are:

  • Improves V.A.T collection.
  • Prevents tax evasion.
  • Falsification-proof.
  • Smaller traders are included in the tax bracket for higher revenue collection.
