Web design and development using HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL and JavaScript

Courses Overview

This course introduces HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. This course helps students gain basic HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript programming skills. This course is an entry point into both the Web application and Windows Store apps training paths. The course focuses on using HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript to implement programming logic, define and use variables, perform looping and branching, develop user interfaces, capture and validate user input, store data, and create well-structured application.

This course is also designed to give delegates the knowledge to develop/maintain PHP scripts utilizing the MYSQL database system and HTML.

  • Create Dynamic Websites using php.
  • Create Database using phpMyAdmin.
  • Interact with the database using PHP.
  • Implement Sessions and Cookies.
  • Handle files with PHP.
  • Build CMS using php and MySql.
  • Explain how to use Visual Studio 2017 to create and run a Web application.
  • Describe the new features of HTML5; create and style HTML5 pages.
  • Add interactivity to an HTML5 page by using JavaScript.
  • Create HTML5 forms by using different input types and validate user input using HTML5 attributes and JavaScript code.
  • Send and receive data to and from a remote data source by using XML HTTP Request objects and Fetch API.
  • Style HTML5 pages by using CSS3
  • Create well-structured and easily maintainable JavaScript code.
  • Write modern JavaScript code and use babel to make it compatible to all browsers.
  • Use common HTML5 application programming interfaces (APIs) in interactive Web applications.
  • Create web applications that support offline operations.
  • Create HTML5 web pages that can adapt to different devices and form factors.
  • Add advanced graphics to an HTML5 page using Canvas elements and Scalable Vector Graphics.
  • Enhance the user experience by adding animations to an HTML5 page.
  • Use web sockets to send and receive data between a web application and a server.
  • Improve the responsiveness of a web application that performs long-running operations by using web worker processes.
  • Use WebPack to package web applications for production.
  • They are the fundamentals like ‘ABC’ of the Front-end development. So irrespective of which framework or library you want to work with, always begin with HTML and CSS. If you are going to be a back-end developer, learn fundamentals like how HTML tags works and to write CSS codes.
  • PHP is one of the many server-side languages you can learn to build web sites. It joins other languages such as Java, ASP.NET, Ruby, and R. Eighty percent of the top 10 websites are powered by PHP, including Facebook and Wikipedia. PHP has consistently demonstrated its ability to scale the largest web sites while at the same time having an easier learning curve than other languages.
  • PHP has driven the demand for development languages year over year. Today, PHP is one of the top five in-demand programming languages. There are many reasons for PHP’s growth. Still, strong support for PHP from Microsoft and Apple as part of the integrated development environments (IDE) such as Visual Studio and Xcode is certainly significant.
  • Students who attend this course will leave this course armed with the new skills to design, implement, and deploy robust, flexible, and safe web applications.
  • UNIX and Windows Users,Web Developers and Programmers wishing to create web based systems utilising PHP and MySQL.
  • Developers who have at least six months of professional experience and who are interested in developing applications using HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3 (either Windows Store apps or IE10 apps for the web).
  • Developers who have more than five years programming experience may find that portions of this training are fundamental in nature when presenting the syntax associated with certain programming tasks.
